5 Ways To Layer T-shirts This Winter

I live in Ohio and for me, Winter has been if full swing for a while, even if Winter technically just started.

As you might have guessed, I own a lot of t-shirts. It’s all I wore this summer. So when the weather got colder, I didn’t want to give up such a huge part of my wardrobe! I don’t think I’m alone here, and that’s why I’m sharing my 5 favorite ways to layer t-shirts for winter!

  1. ChuNky cardigan

This one is simple, but important! I love cardigans because they are so versatile. You can dress it up with a skirt and booties like I did or throw it on with a pair of jeans! If you’re feeling suuuper cozy I recommend leggings, an oversized t-shirt, and a long cardigan!

2. Wrap sweater

This piece might be a bit harder to find, but it’s well worth it! I love wearing sweaters or sweatshirts in the winter but sometimes you want to show off your layers instead of just bundling! A graphic tee like this or one with an all over print goes so well with a wrap sweater!

3. Leather jacket + zip up sWeatshirt

My go-to for instant cool! I try to avoid just wearing a zip-up hoodie because I find it can look somewhat sloppy. But toss on a leather jacket over it and hello chic! The t-shirt and the hood peeking out gives it an athleisure feel and the leather pulls the whole look together!

4. Blazer

Dressing down a blazer can be done in so many ways, and I dog all of them! Throw a blazer on over a graphic hoodie and jeans or a t-shirt and a skirt, you can’t go wrong with this one. This would also go great with a center graphic or an all over print. But I don’t mind my skyline graphic hiding out like it is here either!

5. Trendy jacket

Whether it’s a trend with longevity like a bomber jacket or one like this sherpa style that could be totally over by spring, you can’t go wrong with a good lighter weight jacket to toss on over a tee. Personally I stay pretty cold so if I go somewhere there’s no shame in my jacket game! I will happily wear this coat as if it were a sweater. Same goes for bombers and leather jackets!

So there you go! Whether you have some of these pieces in your collection and now have new way to use them; or if you’re looking to add to your Winter wardrobe, I hope you got some inspiration for layering this Winter!
